Notes: So, this was a bit of a cock up. I think the previous owner might have put some kind of product in her hair, maybe hairspray or something, because when I washed it grey sludge came out. Also, it was all tangled together in almost a felt kind of texture. Since hairdresser friends of mine are constantly sharing that video of what happens if you overstyle your hair, it seems like a sensible guess.
Several chunks of hair fell out while I was gently combing conditioner through it, so she has a brushy top of her tail (like most Shetland/Highland ponies!). I guess I need a more pristine version of her.
Seriously, why would you put product in nylon hair?
